As a member of the CNBM Group, Sinomatech manufactures glass fiber, wind turbine blades, various composite materials, and separator films used in energy storage systems. As one of the leading high-tech companies in the industry, Sinomatech is making its first investment in Hungary in Nyíregyháza.
The company is building a surface treatment facility that will carry out technological operations related to the plastics industry. Sinomatech uses advanced separator film coating technology to produce coated films, enabling a more environmentally friendly manufacturing process.
The Nyíregyháza Plant
The company’s brownfield investment will be a fully automated, water-based separator film coating facility, where only the coating of the films will take place. The base film will be imported from China to Hungary. The technology employs a water-based processing method, eliminating the untreated waste gas emissions typically associated with solvent-based technologies. All atmospheric emissions are filtered through a multi-stage activated carbon treatment system.
According to current plans, trial production will begin in the first quarter of 2027, while full commercial production is expected to commence in the third quarter of 2027. The total value of the investment is EUR 114 million.
The facility aligns with the region’s long-term economic development objectives. The investment will create 120–150 new jobs, primarily for local residents. Sinomatech intends to work with Hungarian suppliers across all stages of the project, from planning and design to logistics.
The company aims to be a good neighbor to the residents of Nyíregyháza. The company highly values the city’s industrial heritage and the high standard of local education. Sinomatech intends to build its long-term operations around local professionals and is seeking opportunities for cooperation with educational institutions in the region.
